Ten years ago, we presented the DeLone and McLean Information Systems (IS) Success Model as a framework and model for measuring the complex-dependent variable in IS research. In this paper, we discuss many of the important IS success research contributions of the last decade, focusing especially on research efforts that apply, validate, challenge, and propose enhancements to our original model.

In the case of the Use Construct (System Dependence), it seems necessary when using it as a part of an Information System Success model, like the Delone and McLean model or Seddon model, that it has to be established with more detail, considering some complementarities like the mentioned by Burton-Jones and Straub (2006), Venkatesh et al., or Lallmahomed et al..

This study is guided by the updated D&M model [4]. Information systems success model has been developed by previous researchers (Bailey and Pearson, 1983), several success models of the information systems,(DeLon and McLeanm1992, DeLon and McLean,2002, DeLon and McLean,2003) model obtained a lot of attention from researchers subsequently (McGill et al,2003), (Livari,2005) also examined the Since DeLone and McLean (D&M) developed their model of IS success, there has been much research on the topic of success as well as extensions and tests of their model.
